AVOIDING RENTAL SEARCH SCAMS IN THE US!

When we arrived in Orlando, Florida early in 2026, it was extremely hard for us to find suitable housing. From pricing categories to the types of accommodations, let us say that finding our “type” of rentals was no easy.

With the need for potential property renters information; some potential renters’ information being way more valuable than others, we never were really over the idea of potentially being scammed. Less and less businesses are legit in some places in the US. Not that they do not possess the paperwork to exercise, but they have records of abusing potential business partners, that their reputation precedes them. They need to be creative.

What else than reliable customers’ information to give credit to their businesses or to revitalize them!

We are not quick to call the “Race card” on any matter at WorldWide Educative. It must be business motivated matters rather than distractive talks about the colour of one’s skin. For the “mangeoire has all skin colours involved”.

This account on potential rental scams is dear to us as weeks ago, prior to moving to the Southern State, we contacted one of those properties listed online. It was associated with a renowned real estate agency. To our great surprise, once we sent the “more information” request enquiry form, we were contacted by individuals who provided us with information not even related to the property we were enquiring about.

To show their credibility, they texted us a certainly stolen or illegally reproduced copy of a legit real estate agent business card and a phone contact number. They also had ours, through the online “enquiry form”. So they could contact us. Then we realized how serious this matter could be. And how many could have been scammed and lead to fear to even say “NO, it is not ok!”?

At the tip of our concern is that these scammers may not work alone. They may have credit card companies,certain banks or any other institutions that are part of their “mafia” (dangerous trafficking systems) walking hand in hand with them to create a sense of legitimacy to their criminal network and leaving many noble people helpless (if possible).

WE ARE DONE BELIEVING THAT SO CALLED MODERN SOCIETY MEANS LEGIT AND HONEST SOCIETY!

In this journey we will provide you with names of some businesses, that we interacted with for a possible rental viewing scheduling; that for strange reasons refused us to view the property once we provided our personal information, even up to subjecting us to ID and facial scans data submissions. We call them, “MODERN RENTAL SCAMMERS”

They are also more likely to be properties that always show: “NOW AVAILABLE”, with somewhat reasonable rental prices. But we believe that their secret is getting free information from potential renters. And in the US, information is business! So, do not be fooled, it is on its own a huge income flow and even more advantageous source of benefits.
